Dignity Health Connected Living’s senior lunch program is moving to a new location starting today, August 31st. Local seniors are invited to gather for lunch at the Susanville Community Center, located at 95 North Weatherlow Street.
The program runs every Monday and Wednesday from 11:30a.m. to 2:00p.m., with lunch served promptly at 12:00p.m. Dine-in and delivery services are available.
Offered in partnership with the California Department of Aging, the City of Susanville, and Lassen County Adult Services, the program is designed to support both the nutritional needs and the social well-being of Lassen County residents. It provides an opportunity to combat social isolation by giving seniors a welcoming place to visit, connect, and enjoy a warm meal with neighbors.
The program is open to all seniors age 60 and older, regardless of income. While contributions toward the cost of meals are welcomed to help sustain the service, no one will be turned away due to an inability to contribute.

To ensure enough meals are prepared, participants are asked to reserve their lunch in advance. Sign up by calling Dignity Health at 1.530.226.3070.
The lunch program is made possible through grant funding from the PSA2 Area Agency on Aging and the California Department of Aging. Organizers note that volunteer opportunities are also available for community members interested in helping local seniors thrive.
