The Susanville Fire Department will be hosting a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony this morning to honor the brave first responders and civilians who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. The event will take place at 7:05a.m., at the Susanville Fire Department located at 1505 Main Street.
“As we approach the solemn anniversary of September 11th, we invite you to join us in honoring the memory of the brave first responders and civilians who lost their lives on that fateful day,” explains Susanville Public Safety Chief Michael Bengoa-Bollinger.
“This year marks 23 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and we believe it is essential to come together as a community to remember and pay our respects.”
The ceremony aims to bring the community together to reflect, remember, and show gratitude for the courage and resilience displayed by those affected by the tragic events of 9/11. All first responders and community members are encouraged to attend.
First responders who wish to participate in the ceremony in uniform are asked to arrive by 6:30a.m.
