It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Sharon Louise Iturria. She was born in San Diego, CA June 2, 1938, and entered rest January 8, 2026, in Reno, Nv after many years of battling cancer.
She grew up and attended school in San Diego and Chico, CA where she also met our Dad Jean Pierra Iturria and married on April 26, 1959. They had two daughters, Debbie (1960) and Robin (1965). They returned to Susanville in 1969 to raise their daughters in a small town close to our dad’s parents.
She worked for Safeway in the bakery, Eagle Thrifty in the deli department and AAA Insurance as a claims representative for almost 30 years before retiring.
She was very active in several sorority groups starting with Beta Sigma Phi April 4, 1968. Red Hat Ladies, and Monticola Club. The most recent sorority being Zeta Omicron Master. Mom received her 45 year pin last year.
In 1983 she met Jim Bianchetti. They were together for almost 27 years and had many adventures and travels during their time together. Jim passed suddenly in 2009 leaving a big hole in mom’s heart.
Her heart started to mend when she met and married Bob Paulson December 20, 2014. He brought joy and laughter back into her heart, who also took her on many trips to Louisiana and Arizona for NASCAR. We unfortunately lost Bob in 2017.
Mom could be found wherever there was a party or function of any kind. She loved the social life and was usually the life of the party. You always knew when Sharon walked into the room. She hated when the evening would end and would always be the one saying, “where to now?” She had the energy of a teenager and would make us laugh and shake our heads just listening to her stories of her evenings out with her best friends, Brenda and Marilyn. There were so many friends in our mom’s life that it would be impossible to name everybody. She stood out at every party, and everyone remembered her and anticipated seeing her again.
She is survived by her Daughters Debbie Aguirre (Eugene), Robin Humphrey (Kevin), grandchildren Ryan (Melissa), Maria (Brent), Catherine (Jack), and Tyler. 6 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, son in law and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that she is now having one big party surrounded by her loved ones in Heaven.
