Sheriff Growdon to Host Open House at Jail Facility May 27th

Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, May 27th to provide an opportunity for the public to learn all about how the Sheriff’s office and the jail operate on a daily basis.

Department staff will be providing tours of the Sheriff’s office and county jail.

Growdon extends an invitation to anyone interested in learning about patrol operations, jail operations, 911 dispatch, civil investigations, sex offender registrants, boat patrol, concealed weapons permits, coroner operations or any other facet of the agency’s role in our community.

The Sheriff’s office and the detention facilities are at 1415 Sheriff Cady Lane, off of Chestnut Street, in Susanville.

The event will last from 4:30 to 7:00p.m. and at 6:00 Growdon will conduct a public meeting to provide a Sheriff’s Office update and to answer questions presented by the public.

From 6:30 to 7:00 the Sheriff’s Office will present a canine demonstration.

Similar events held over the last four years have proven to be a great success and Growdon says that he is hoping people will take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The Sheriff’s Office is located at 1415 Sheriff Cady Lane in Susanville.
