Surveillance video of the suspect robbing the Wayside Gas Station

Investigators from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public to help them identify a suspect wanted in connection with a late evening armed robbery at the Wayside Gas Station in Standish.

According to details from the LCSO, deputies were dispatched to the gas station shortly after 10:00 Thursday, arriving to find two employees who said that a man had held them both at gunpoint and demanded they open the cash register.

“The subject stole several hundred dollars from the register and fled,” explains LCSO Lieutenant David Woginrich. “Deputies searched the building and the surrounding area but were unable to locate the subject.”

The gas station employees were only able to describe the subject as male, standing over six feet tall and wearing all black with a gray face mask.

Deputies retrieved video footage from the store’s surveillance cameras and were able to capture several still photographs of the subject.

If you recognize the man, or if you have any information regarding this incident, you are urged to contact the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office at 1.530.257.6121.
