Sheriff’s Office Update: Little Valley Family Rescued from Snowy Forest Service Road

A family of four was rescued Friday evening after their vehicle was stranded in deep snow between Little Valley and Highway 44 Friday afternoon according to details released by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly after 7:00p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the area of Forest Service Road 22, near Little Valley, to assist a Ford F-150 occupied by two adults, a four-year-old child and a 5-month old infant.

Sheriff’s Office Personnel, with the assistance of the Lassen County Office of Emergency Services, responded to the area with several ATV’s, snow machines and a snow cat. The subjects were extricated from the scene and transported to a Susanville area hotel.

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Lassen County Office of Emergency Services for their assistance in locating the individuals on Forest Service Road 22.
