Sheriff’s Deputies have made two more arrests in connection with their investigation into multiple burglaries at a mini-storage facility in Standish. In a follow-up to a story we reported here on SusanvilleStuff Thursday morning, Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon has released details about the sequence of events which lead up to the arrests.
“Following the arrests of Tina Lynn Chaffee and Michael Wade Brady on May 7th,” Growdon explained, “Deputies continued their investigation of a number of recent burglaries.”
The investigation, according to Growdon, led them to a residence in Litchfield on May 10th, where deputies arrested 35 year-old Litchfield resident Breanna Cullison, and 40-year old Litchfield resident Christopher Wiser – in the process recovering, “multiple truck-loads of stolen property.”
“My people have been working around the clock to bring these thieves to justice and recover tens of thousands of dollars in stolen property, family heirlooms and other irreplaceable items,” Growdon said in a written statement Thursday afternoon.
“I am proud of their effort, and want to assure the community that we are working hard to combat the recent increase in property crime, and bring those who choose to prey on our communities to justice.”
Cullison was booked on multiple felony charges including burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy, and is being held on $80,000 bail. Wiser was also booked on multiple felony charges including burglary and possession of stolen property and is being held on $80,000 bail.
During the course of the investigation, deputies recovered property that was stolen in multiple burglaries committed at Reece’s Mini Storage, as well as a burglary that occurred in the Standish area in February of 2017. Deputies are still working to match recovered property with crime reports.
