It’s time to saddle up for a great cause! The Lassen County Sheriff’s Posse has set a goal of raising $5,000 to help fight pediatric cancer with their annual St. Jude’s Ride.
This year’s fundraiser will be held Saturday, September 21st at Susanville Ranch Park. Signups begin at 9:00 a.m. Prizes and lunch will also be provided.
The Lassen County Sheriff’s Posse is a nonprofit corporation that host equestrian events in Lassen County and the money raised through its efforts are used for scholarships and is given back to the community.
St. Jude is one of the premier pediatric cancer research centers and the only organization where no family ever pays for anything.
Since its 1962 inception, St.Jude’s protocols have helped increase the overall survival rate for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent to 80 percent.
