In cooperation with multiple law enforcement agencies, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office participated in a focused drug-enforcement day in Lassen County on Thursday, April 20th. Members of the North State Marijuana Interdiction Task Force, California Highway Patrol, U.S. BLM, Susanville Police Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement all participated in this collaborative effort.
“Throughout different areas of the County, these law enforcement agencies worked together to identify to drug offenders and traffickers within the County of Lassen,” explained Sheriff Captain Kevin Jones. “In total, 5 arrests were made during the day.”
The offenses included methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphanelia violations.
According to Captain Jones the day ended with a vehicle pursuit involving the California Highway Patrol, Susanville Police and Deputies of the Lassen Co. Sheriff’s Office. The pursuit ended in Plumas County and driver arrested.
This is the first of several focused enforcement days that will come during the year as agencies work together to combat drug trafficking throughout the County of Lassen.
