The California Highway Patrol has released the details surrounding a single-vehicle rollover that occurred on Sears Road in Janesville Monday afternoon.
According to the CHP 38 year-old Janesville resident Jason Brice was driving southbound on Sears Road at an unknown rate of speed near Schaffer Lane.
“Due to his level of intoxication,” explains the report, “he was unable to maintain control of his vehicle as he attempted to make a left curve. His truck left the roadway, entered a ditch and started to overturn.”
Brice’s truck overturned at least once while rotating in a counter-clockwise direction and came to rest in a field after going through a barbed wire fence.
The driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision, which is still under investigation.
