Susanville teens are invited to kick it old-school for a night of music, milkshakes and memories this spring. This Friday, April 24th, the community will host the very first Christian Teen Dance Night, transforming the local church hall into a high-energy “Soda Shop Hop.”
This free event is designed to bring back good old-fashioned fun, offering a no-pressure environment where youth can hang out, laugh and make lasting memories.
The party starts at 8:00p.m. and runs until 11:00 at 905 Richmond Road, located directly across from Diamond View School. The event is open to all local teens between the ages of 14 and 18, including those who will be turning 14 at any point during 2026.
With a focus on “soda shop vibes” and feel-good energy, the organizers are encouraging everyone to grab their friends and show up exactly as they are.
This celebration is a true community collaboration, put together by a group of local teens representing various schools, churches, and backgrounds. They are working with the seasoned support of the team behind Susanville’s “The Live Nativity,” a beloved local tradition that welcomes thousands of visitors each year.
Parents who want to get involved are also invited to join the fun. The organizers are currently looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes to ensure the night is a success. Those interested in assisting or seeking more information are encouraged to send a message to the event team at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
