The Lassen County Special Weed Action Team is inviting the public to contribute topics for future invasive weed workshops. Over 20 people attended the first workshop, which took place in December, and focused on the basics of integrated weed management.
The workshop was led by Tom Getts, UC Cooperative Extension, and the slides used in the presentation are available on the Lassen County’s Cooperative Extension website (celassen.ucanr.edu/Farm_Advisor/Weed_Science). Continuing Education credit was also made available from the CA Dept of Pesticide Regulation.
If you have specific concerns about invasive weeds that you would like addressed as part of future workshops, please send your ideas to [email protected]. The Lassen County SWAT would like to have a series of workshops, both in the field and in the classroom, and we want to hear from you!
The Lassen County SWAT, a public-private partnership dedicated to preventing and controlling invasive weeds in Lassen County, works collaboratively on outreach, prevention, and treatment throughout the county.
