The Lassen Land & Trails Trust invites art enthusiasts of all skill levels to “Steppe into the Sage,” a unique plein air painting event scheduled for Friday, July 12th, from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., offering participants a chance to capture the natural beauty of the region.
Attendees will have the opportunity to set up an easel and paint “in the open air,” taking in the panoramic views of ranchlands, mountains, and the Wingfield Road hills, all vibrant with the bluish hue of sage.
Experienced artists will be on-site to offer guidance, and art supplies will be generously provided by the Lassen County Arts Council, making it accessible for everyone. Kid activities will also be available, so families are encouraged to bring their budding artists along.
While RSVP is recommended for planning purposes, it is not required. Sign-ups are available online at lassenlandandtrailstrust.org.
The event will be held at the LCCA Learning Center off Florence Lane. Participants should look for flagging and signage, and a greeter will be at the gate entrance to direct them. Please note that this property is generally closed to the public and accessible only during special educational events like this one.
