Imagine taking a family vacation that satisfied the needs of everyone. Dad was able to fish, mom could enjoy a relaxing day on the beach and the kids had an action packed day of recreation.

Mariner’s Resort at Eagle Lake is now a one-stop-shop offering amenities you didn’t even know were right here in Lassen County.

Owners Judy and Rich Cable purchased the resort in 2005 and have since revamped the resort to be an all-inclusive destination for the entire family.

“We aren’t just a little fishing resort, there is something here for everyone,” said owner Rich Cable “We really wanted to create a family atmosphere,” he said.

The resort offers activities such as boat rentals, private boat docks, a sports complex with a full-sized grass baseball diamond, a horseshoe court, volleyball court, basketball court, a recreation room with a pool table, and a play ground for the little ones. The day can be finished off relaxing in the lounge and settling in to one of their cozy cabins.

“We have fisherman who have been coming here alone for years and now they are bringing their wives and their families,” said Judy.

For the outdoor enthusiast the resort is ATV and horse friendly and offers trail rides right out of the resort. A long day of trail riding can be followed up with tent camping and RV hook-ups are available on site. Fishing seminars are offered every Friday at 5:00p.m.

Night life and entertainment is plentiful at Mariners making it a social summer hot spot for evening dinning or a quick night away.

According to Cable the restaurant is “high grade” and specializes in fine dining. Concerts and live band nights featuring entertainment from Lacy J. Dalton, David John and the Comstock Cowboys, The Jason Wheeler Band and many more.

“The lounge really gets to be like Cheers, we all get to know each other,” said Judy. We really love to see people enjoying themselves and having a good time,” she said. Summer events are scheduled through the month of October, kicking off with a Sunday Mother’s Day Brunch on May 13th.

The activities calendar features something for everyone with events such as game nights, off-road poker run, cowboy poetry and music, chili and potato salad cook off, pig roast and luau, and a Beer Brewery and Oktoberfest.

Planning a family vacation that will please the entire family isn’t easy, but Mariner’s Resort at Eagle Lake sure makes it easy to try.

“We know our success depends on how well we take care of people,“ said Rich. “We want everyone to come here and be a part of something,” he said.
