Soloists from the Susanville Choral Society, in collaboration with Joan’s School of Dance, will present Sweeter Than Roses – a collection of old English songs and ayres with dance, on Saturday, March 14th, at 2pm, in Joan’s Studio of Dance. The performance will also include poetry presented by internationally acclaimed poet, Dianna Henning.
“Sweeter Than Roses will be a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend an early Spring afternoon in Susanville,” said Susanville Choral Society Director, Liudmila Mullin.
Although the group is not charging for tickets, Mullin says she hopes attendees will show their appreciation for the performance through their donations at the show. Any proceeds will be used to support the production costs of future concerts by the Choral Society, as well as off-set travel costs for aspiring dancers as they participate in out-of-town dance workshops and competitions.
