Susanville CHP Offering Smart Start Class for Teens and Parents September 10th

The Susanville office of the California Highway Patrol is offering a free driver education class, “Start Smart,” to help prepare young drivers for the road.

The course, designed for both teens and their parents, focuses on safe driving practices, the rules of the road and new driver license requirements.

The next “Start Smart” class is scheduled for Thursday, September 10th, from 5:30 to 7:30p.m. at the Susanville Area CHP Office, located at 472-400 Diamond Crest Rd.

The program is a crucial effort to reduce the number of teen-related crashes and is funded by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety. The CHP encourages all young drivers and their parents to attend this valuable session.

Those interested in registering for the free class or seeking more information can contact Public Information Officer Fountain at 1.530.252.1800.
