The Susanville Fire Department Cadet Program will be offering a unique opportunity to get your vehicle sparkling clean while supporting the next generation of first responders on Saturday, April 25th, when the Susanville Fire Cadets will be hosting a special drive-through car wash fundraiser right inside the fire hall on Main Street.
This isn’t your average parking lot car wash. Between 11:00a.m. and 3:00p.m., residents are invited to drive their vehicles directly through the station bays, where cadets will be standing by to handle the cleaning. This event provides a great chance for the community to see the station up close and witness the teamwork and dedication of these local students.
All proceeds from the event go toward a vital cause: sending these young men and women to the California Cadet Academy in Napa, CA. The Academy provides high school-aged students with intensive hands-on experience and exposure to careers in firefighting, law enforcement and emergency medical services.
Beyond technical training, the program fosters leadership, discipline and essential life skills that will benefit these cadets throughout their lives.
Donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly toward helping our local students reach their goal of attending the academy this summer. Just look for the signs on Main Street, drive in, and let the Susanville Fire Cadets do the washing!
