Susanville Fire Department to the Rescue!

Captain Dan Weaver and his crew from the Susanville City Fire Department came to the rescue Saturday morning, rescuing a flag that had gotten tangled and torn in last week’s wind storm.

The flag, in the Haws Theobald and Auman parking lot, had become tangled around the eagle at the top of the pole with no way to get it down.

Enter the SFD who used their cool ladder truck to take down the damaged flag and replace it with a brand new one.

The old flag was carefully folded and will be properly disposed of.

Good job fire guys!

Here’s a gallery of photos showing how the fire department replaced the flag. Enjoy.
