Susanville Future Farmers of America is hosting a yard sale this Saturday, August 29th, in the front parking lot at Lassen High School, with all proceeds directly supporting ten local students attending the National FFA Convention in Indiana this October.
According to FFA Advisor Elizabeth Ammon, the funds raised will help offset airfare, registration fees and tour expenses for the students.
The yard sale officially begins at 9:00a.m., and everything will be available by donation. Community members who would like to contribute goods for the sale are invited to drop off donated items in the front parking lot between 7:00a.m. and 9:00a.m. that morning.
In addition to this weekend’s yard sale, FFA members are currently selling tickets for an upcoming Tri-Tip Dinner fundraiser on Thursday, September 17th. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from any Susanville FFA member.
Dinners include tri-tip, potato salad, green salad, a roll and dessert, with drive-thru pick-up available in the high school’s back parking lot from 4:00 to 6:00p.m.
