Susanville Future Farmer’s of America students travelled to Arbuckle, in Colusa County, on February 3rd to compete in the FFA’s Arbuckle Field Day.
According to the group’s advisor Elizabeth Ammon there were 111 schools and 1,600 kids competing in a variety of events.
Susanville’s Floral, Veterinary Science and AG Mechanics teams all took 1st place.
High-scoring individuals in Floral were:

Christina West-Lucchesi-Sixth
Placing well in Veterinary Science were:
Honesty Rain Drake-First
Carlene Simpson-Second
Kassie Sandborg-Third
Alexandra Lopez-Fourth
Waylon Miller-Sixth
In Ag Mechanics top finishers were:
Dallen Jacob Schwab-Fourth
Damian Duran-Eighth
Jesse Ray Morring-Ninth.
Ammon also thanked Lindsay Noggles, Courtney Jones, Morgan Pickett and Kevin Jones for helping judge the field day.
