Quick work on the part of the Susanville Police Department led to the arrest of a Susanville man for the armed holdup of a local bank less than eight hours after the crime was committed.
According to Police Lieutenant Matt Wood, officers from the department responded to the Apple Inn located at 2720 Main Street at around 5:30p.m. Tuesday after receiving information that the suspect in the robbery of the Tri Counties Bank was at the motel.
59 year-old Susanville resident Randy Lee Hall was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Lassen County Jail on multiple charges including robbery, grand theft and criminal threats. Hall was held on $50,000 bail.
Lieutenant Wood and the Susanville Police Department acknowledged and thanked the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance during the apprehension of Hall.
The case has been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
