The Susanville Police Department is reporting two deaths as the result of a Saturday morning shooting that occurred in the area of Grand Avenue and Fifth Street in Susanville.
Shortly after 10:00a.m., Lassen County Dispatch received multiple calls for a shooting and personnel from the Susanville Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and Cal Fire responded to the area.
“Two individuals were located in the area in a vehicle who were pronounced dead at the scene,” explained Susanville Public Safety Chief Michael Bengoa-Bollinger. “There is no outstanding suspect or threat to the community at this time.”
