On December 14th, the Susanville Police Department cracked down on unsafe drivers, conducting ‘saturated patrols’ throughout town as a part of a safety grant from the Office of Traffic Safety.
“These patrols focused on distracted driving, as well as violations involving primary collision factors,” explains Susanville Police Chief Ryan Cochran.
“This was done in efforts to make our community a safer place for pedestrians and drivers alike.”
The patrols lasted from nine in the morning until one in the afternoon and resulted in fourteen traffic stops, with seven citations being issued for various violations.
