Officers from the Susanville Police Department arrested two Susanville residents early Saturday morning after a search of their vehicle turned up over a pound of methamphetamine, along with a loaded pistol and assorted materials used for sales of a controlled substance.
According to a report released Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Cook Street in the early morning hours of June 16th. The traffic stop led to a search of the vehicle, during whichĀ investigators located just over one pound (468 grams) of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material, an ASP and a loaded .22 caliber handgun.
Two Susanville residents, identified by the police department as Joseph Vanmear and Chyanne Brazier, were arrested and booked into the Lassen County Adult Detention Facility.
Vanmear was arrested for his No Bail Warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and False Identification to a Peace Officer. Vanmear is currently in custody at the Lassen County Jail and is being held without bail due to his Lassen County Warrant.
Brazier was arrested for Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale and Accessory and is also currently in custody at the Lassen County Jail. She is beingĀ held on $60,000 bail.
