The Susanville Police Department has released details and announced the arrest of two men stemming from a May 25th, shooting on Cornell Street in Susanville. The two Susanville residents had reportedly been arguing over a generator that had allegedly been stolen. (Read our original coverage here)
Upon further investigation police determined that 64-year old Susanville resident Harold Ray Kimbriel and 53-year old Jimmy Dee Edgar, also of Susanville, had been involved in a physical altercation over the generator.
“Both parties involved in this incident were deemed to be aggressors and subsequently both were arrested,” explained Susanville Police Sergeant Ryan Cochran.
Kimbriel was arrested for assault with a firearm with bail set at $25,000. Edgar was arrested for attempted murder and his bail was set at $512,500.
Both subjects were booked into the Lassen County Jail and the case was referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office. No other subjects are outstanding regarding this case.
