Susanville Police Make Arrests Decoy and Shoulder Tap Operations

On Friday, members of the Susanville Police Department, along with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, conducted decoy, shoulder-tap and undercover operations within the City of Susanville resulting in a flurry of citations and arrests and citations.

During the course of the evening, according to details released today, one local business clerk was cited for selling alcohol to a minor, two citizens were cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor and a minor was cited for possession of a ‘fake ID’ that was used for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.

Also during the operation, ABC Agents attended the Lassen County Fair. During that time, agents observed a narcotic transaction between two individuals, which lead to the arrest of one subject for selling a controlled substance and the second subject for possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication and possession of a false identification card.

This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s Education and Teen Alcohol Enforcement Program Grant, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Susanville Police Department thanked the minor decoy personnel who volunteered their time for a successful operation and the ABC Agents for their assistance.
