Renegades Sweep Reed
On Saturday, July 6th, Susanville hosted Reed High School summer team. In the last home games of the season at Memorial Park, Susanville played some of its best baseball of the season. They won the first game 5-1, and 7-1 in the second.
The renegades got excellent pitching in both games. Ryan Sharpe went the distance in game one and struck out eight. Colby Chavez led the offense with a single and double, and drove in two runs.
In the second game Garrison Collier went seven innings and struck out six. On offense Logan Loflin had three hits, and Adrik Yacelga
had two hits for the Renegades. Susanville had one error in each game.
Susanville traveled to Galena High School on Sunday to play their summer team. Unfortunately, they didn’t fair well, losing a doubleheader. Susanville only suited up eleven players due to other commitments. They lost the first game 9-4. Jake Thomas had two hits, including a double, scored two runs and drove in another.
In the second game Susanville lost 13-3. Ryan Sharpe had two hits including a two run homer. The Renegades are currently 15-11 on the season.
