The Susanville Rotary Club recently gathered at Lassen Steaks last week to celebrate service, community and philanthropy by honoring three local standouts with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship award.
This recognition is a significant honor within the organization, representing a deep commitment to the Rotary Foundation’s mission to “do good in the world.” Named after the founder of Rotary, the Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute—or in whose name a contribution of $1,000 has been made—to The Rotary Foundation.
Honorees Recognized for Exemplary Service
The club highlighted the ongoing dedication of the following award recipients:

Ester Faustino: Awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship.

Angie Crowley: Awarded a Paul Harris+1 Fellowship.

Martin Balding: Awarded a Paul Harris+5 Fellowship.
The “plus” designations signify additional levels of sustained, substantial contributions to the Foundation, reflecting years of dedication to Rotary’s global and local initiatives.
A Legacy of Giving
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition was established in 1957 to show appreciation for significant contributions to the Foundation. Initially created to support the Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study—the precursor to today’s Ambassadorial Scholarships—the program has grown into a cornerstone of Rotary’s ability to fund life-changing projects worldwide.
“The Rotary Club of Susanville is delighted to honor these three individuals for their exemplary service and commitment to our community,” the organization shared following the event.
