Susanville Street Rodders Holding Salvation Army Angel Tree Gift Drive Saturday

The nice folks in the Susanville Street Rodders classic car club will be holding a special Gift Drive this Saturday, November 22nd, to benefit the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program in Lassen County.

The collection event will be held from 3:00 to 5:00p.m., at the Frosty Mill on Ash Street, to help bring holiday joy to children in our community.

Hundreds of kids in Lassen County often miss out on the excitement of unwrapping gifts, but with your help, the Susanville Street Rodders, the Susanville Car Enthusiasts and the Salvation Army are aiming to change that.

Get High Quality Photos of Your Car!

Come show off your ride and get some fantastic, high-quality photos taken for a Lassen High student project.

While you’re enjoying the classic cars, you can lend your support by choosing an angel from the Angel Tree tickets or by offering a monetary donation.

The requested gifts can be as small as $10 and often include essential items that we sometimes take for granted, like socks, boots and sweatshirts.

At the end of the meet, the group will cruise over to Walmart to purchase items and to stuff the Salvation Army Bus with goodies! Your generosity goes a long way, and every single donation will stay right here in Lassen County to help local families.

The Angel Tree Program
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has been running for over 45 years to help provide Christmas gifts from generous donors for hundreds of thousands of children, seniors, and adults with special needs around the country each year.

The Angel Tree program serves as a symbol of hope, particularly at a time when many are continuing to struggle with the impacts of inflation and rising costs. Across Lassen County, hundreds are faced with tough choices on how to stretch their already tight household budgets, leaving many torn between purchasing presents for the holidays or putting food on the table.

The Salvation Angel Tree program helps alleviate that added financial and emotional stress.

Once a child is accepted as an Angel, donors like you can shop and help bring their Christmas wishes to life.

Simply pick a tag off the Angel Tree located at Plumas Bank, Walmart or Tractor Supply. Tags will be available at Hair Hunters in uptown after Thanksgiving.

Once the gifts are received, The Salvation Army will distribute them to families in need- allowing parents and caregivers to place the presents under the tree on Christmas morning.
