The Susanville Symphony’s Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Symphony Artistic Director Ben Wade, will be performing their fall concert Monday December 4th at the United Methodist Church on South Lassen Street.

The performance begins at 6:00p.m. and Wade invites everyone to come out and support the future of music in Lassen County.

“Working with aspiring musicians, some whose goal it is to play in the Susanville Symphony, is inspirational to say the least” says Wade. “I can hear them get better measure by measure, moment by moment in rehearsal. Talk about fulfilling for all of us.”

The mission of the Susanville Youth Orchestra is to encourage and provide a positive and educational music experience for young people and adults alike. The orchestra is designed to teach students to play as a cohesive group while experiencing different styles of music.

Concert selections at Monday’s performance include Carol of the Bells, Beethoven’s lullaby, Finlandia and more.

The concert is general admission, $5 per ticket and open to the public.
