It was a fantastic day for the young goblins and ghosts at the annual Safe and Sane Halloween party in uptown Susanville! Sponsored by the nice folks at the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, the always well-attended event was a huge success.
Under a beautiful, crisp fall sky, approximately 1,000 costumed kids descended on Main Street to collect treats from local businesses. Organizations and businesses from all over town came to uptown and joined in the fun, making sure every little trick-or-treater went home happy.
The creativity was incredible – Susanville truly knows how to celebrate Halloween!
With Main Street shut down for the afternoon, the event featured highlights like a costume contest (for both people and pets!) and thrilling dance performances by Mt. Lassen Dance Academy and J and J Performing Arts.
