Lassen Family Services Budgeting Class is held every Monday from 4:00 – 5:00p.m., at Lassen Family Services or via Zoom. Lassen County Public Health Open House 1:00 – 4:00p.m. at 1445 Paul Bunyan Street. Games. Popcorn, fresh fruit, bubbles, face painting and more. Winners and awards of the art contest will be announced at 3:30p.m.

Learn how to Assess Residential Wildfire Hazards with the Lassen Fire Safe Council Free Seminar. 2 day seminar. Residents in Lassen, Modoc and Shasta counties can learn how to make their homes and communities safer from wildfires by attending no-cost seminars with the Lassen Fire Safe Council (LFSC). In a series of expert-led, one- and two-day training sessions, the LFSC in association with the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. will help residents learn how to recognize and reduce wildfire hazards around the home, using the latest fire science findings. Residents are invited to have a bite to eat with the experts as they listen and learn. Space is limited, so residents are encouraged to RSVP to one of the fire-resiliency workshops, below. Lassen Family Services is partnering with the All-American Mixed Martial Arts Academy to host a free self-defense class. This class will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 2:00 – 4:00p.m., located at 55 S. Sacramento St. in Susanville. The class is open to everyone ages 12 and up.
