Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon Industry Night, every Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Do you work in the biz? Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon welcomes you to Lassen County’s only industry night for restaurant, bar, food service and hospitality professionals. Come with your co-workers, mix and mingle with your peers from other local businesses. Relax and get waited on for a change. Bring your business ID or paycheck stub for specials on appetizers and beer.

Tuesday, August 6
Lassen County Arts Council presents Contemporary Tuesdays: Instruction for older developing artists. Concepts covered include color therapy, perspective, shape, form and design concepts. Instructor will include drawing with dry pastel, and painting will include use of oil pains and guache. Drop in sessions are $15 each Tuesday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at 807 Cottage Street. Lassen Family Services Parenting Group Classes. Reduce the chaos and power struggles; learn an approach to parenting that is both simple and effective. “Positive Parenting with a Plan,” by Matthew A. Johnson, Psy. D., MSW, helps parents establish order and structure in the home, including rewards and positive consequences that work!  Designed as a 12-week program, group and individualized instruction is provided on an on-going basis. Group classes are held Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon Trivia Tuesday will be every Tuesday night from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. $5 per person to enter. Teams of 1-4. Winners take home cash prizes.

Soroptimist International of Susanville is a women’s community service organization. Soroptimist sponsors many awards and scholarships in our community. Lassen Aurora Network Veteran’s Support Group Wednesdays 6:00 – 8:00 pm at 811 Cottage St, Susanville. Our Mission is to provide a judgment-free environment where Veterans from all era’s and services can meet and discuss issues without outside influences.

Eagle Lake Nature Program presents, Eagle Lake Trout by California Fish and Wildlife Fisheries Biologist Paul Divine at 7:30 p.m. at the Eagle Lake amphitheater adjacent to Merrill Campground on County Road A1. Eagle Lake, South Shore. (in the event of rain, event will be postponed or canceled).

Diamond Mountain Speedway Car Races Gates open at 6:00 p.m., racing starts at 7:00 p.m., at the Diamond Mountain Speedway 195 Russell Avenue, Lassen County Fairgrounds. For more information, please visit our Facebook page. Ticket Prices: Adult (13-Up) – $10.00 Kids (6-12) – $5.00. Military Veterans and children 5 and under are free. Veterans must show proper id. Pits: Adults $30, kids 6-12 $15, Kids under 5 free. All minors must be supervised by an adult.
