Lassen Family Services Parenting Group Classes. Reduce the chaos and power struggles; learn an approach to parenting that is both simple and effective. “Positive Parenting with a Plan,” by Matthew A. Johnson, Psy. D., MSW, helps parents establish order and structure in the home, including rewards and positive consequences that work! Designed as a 12-week program, group and individualized instruction is provided on an on-going basis. Group classes are held Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

Eagle Lake Campfire Programs is kicking off the summer with the popular, “Snakes at the Lake” program at 7:00 p.m. at the Merrill Campground Amphitheater County Road A1, Eagle Lake, South Shore. Herpetologists from Penn State and Westmont College in Santa Barbara have been studying the snakes at Eagle Lake since the early 1970s looking for evidence of environmental and biological changes and influences to the snake population and other animal populations at Eagle Lake. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event!
