The Susanville Symphony’s Academy of Music will be presenting their winter concert this Sunday, December 16th, at the Nazarene Church in Susanville. Everyone is invited to come celebrate the season with favorites from Home Alone, O Come Emmanuel, Jingle Bells and more.
Students from the Academy, which has been in existence for more than 13 years, will get a chance to show off their talents at the festive concert.
“This year we have new classes, a budding wind ensemble for brass, winds and percussion and we have more students this year than ever” said Ben Wade who conducts the Symphony’s Youth Orchestra.
Classes that will be performing include Beginning Strings, Intermediate Strings, Advanced Strings, Wind Ensemble and the Youth Orchestra.
Kaitlyn Nakanishi is in charge of the strings and Wind Ensemble is conducted Craig Harris.
There is a suggested donation of $5 at the concert which begins at 6:00p.m. in the Nazarene Church, 1825 Spring Ridge Dr.
