Taste of Beef, Sip of Wine; Cow-A-Bunga Contest Marks the Start of 25th Celebration

The Cow-A-Bunga Contest usually kicks off the annual planning for the event as the Cattlewoman come together to taste entries, sip wine and organize tasks. This year marks the 25th anniversary for the Cattlewoman’s “Taste of Beef, Sip of Wine,” and they are already planning some different ways to celebrate 25 years.

“With this year marking our 25 years, we really want the even to be special,” said Leona Parker, Wine Tasting Chair. “I think people are going to really enjoy the new hors d’oeuvres and the variety of ways we will be giving, while promoting beef.”

The event will take place February 1st from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Susanville Elks Lodge and includes hand selected premium wines, mouthwatering beef hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction.

“The tickets make great stocking stuffers,” said Parker.

Raffle Tickets for this paining will be sold at the Wine Tasting event this year and is just one of the many special items featured for the 25th anniversary celebration.
