Tickets are now on sale for the Lassen Land and Trails Trust’s annual Farm to Table Dinner, a celebration of local agriculture and natural resource conservation. Tickets are $125 each, and only 100 will be available.
This year’s event is Saturday, August 25th, at the Five Dot Ranch in the beautiful Willow Creek Valley north of Susanville. The dinner will feature locally produced beef and produce, including a vegetarian option.
Tickets can be purchased on the LLTT website, www.lassenlandandtrailstrust.org under the events and education tab. Payments can be made through Paypal or by sending a check to Lassen Land and Trails Trust, PO Box 1461, Susanville, CA 96130.
This year’s hosts are ranch owners Todd and Loretta Swickard. The Swickard family has produced beef and grain in the Willow Creek Valley since 1959 and throughout California for seven generations. Their locally produced beef is featured at fine restaurants are markets throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento regions and in California’s famed Napa Valley wine country.
“This is a great chance to celebrate how northeast California agriculture contributes to the fabric of our communities and to the quality of life for Californians across the state,” said Amy Holmen, project manager for the Lassen Land and Trails Trust. “It’s also a great way to learn about our work conserving working lands and natural landscapes, promoting recreational trails, and informing people about the natural wonders that make northeast California a special place to call home.”
