The first market of the Thursday Evening Harvest Market series happens today, July 23rd, from 4:00 to 7:00, at Artisan Coffee in Janesville. Community members are invited to come out on Thursdays throughout the summer to support local farmers as the area rolls into the height of the produce season, offering Lassen County even more opportunities to shop local and stock up on fresh fruits and veggies for the week.
Shopping with local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and artisans at both the Thursday evening and Saturday morning markets keeps dollars circulating in the local food system and economy, all while bringing the freshest possible food to area tables. The LARP Co-Op’s 2026 Farmers Market lineup features an expanded roster made possible by a network of generous local hosting partners.
For those looking for a Saturday morning haul, the flagship Uptown Morning Market has moved across Main Street this year to the Lassen Municipal Utility District parking lot—the old Bank of America lot off Main and North Gay Street. Running from 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., this market will take place on July 25th, throughout August on the 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th, and will conclude with autumn markets on September 12th and 19th.
Janesville will serve as the hub for mid-week harvest shopping during the Thursday Education Farm Harvest Markets from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Hosted at the LARP Co-Op Thompson Peak Education Farm at 420 S. Church Street, right next to Pizza Factory and Artisan Coffee, these gatherings start tonight and return on July 30th. They will continue every Thursday in August on the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, before wrapping up in September on the 10th, 17th and 24th.
Community members can also look forward to the popular Wednesday Night Market Series, running from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. across rotating destinations. This mid-week route stopped at Thompson Peak Lavender Farm on July 1st, will visit a specialized location to be announced on August 12th, and then heads to the Lassen Ale Works Boardroom on September 2nd.
In addition to hosting a Wednesday evening market, the Lassen Ale Works Boardroom at 702-000 Johnstonville Road will host its own morning markets from 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. on Saturday, August 8th, a unique Sunday edition on August 16th, and a final market on Saturday, September 26th.
Organizers note that shoppers can expect extra pop-up markets toward the end of the summer when the region reaches peak harvest season. The co-op has also aligned special morning markets from 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. with major fall events, including the Lassen County Grown Harvest Hootenanny on October 3rd and the Lassen Land & Trails Trust Rails-to-Trails Event on October 10th.
