Although the fair has not yet officially started today concessions booths begin setting up, livestock exhibitors and camp trailers get settled and the final last minute touches to get the fair up and running keep the fairgrounds busy.
Tonight come on down and support the local 4-H kids at their annual 4-H barbeque at 5:30 pm at the Fair Pavilion. This year the barbeque will include beef tri-tip, baked potato, green salad, roll and dessert. 4-H members will be dressed in green and white T-shirts and serving the community members who join them for the BBQ.
Dinner is $12 for adults, $6 for children under 12 and a family ticket (two adults and two children) is just $32.
This fundraiser helps support many events the club does throughout the year. These include: Presentation Day, Home Arts Extravaganza, Dog Show, Horse Show, Large Animal skills day, Small animal skills day, Leadership conferences, Scholarships, Study Travel, Record book Medals, and year-end pins.

After filing your belly check out hard-hitting rodeo action at the North Arena for Souza’s Bucking Bulls bull riding event. Professional bull riding could be considered the oldest extreme sport in the United States as riders put their lives on the line every time they strap themselves to a 1,500-pound bull and try to hang on for eight seconds.
The event starts at 7:00 pm and tickets are on sale at the fair office or at the gate.
