Today at the Lassen County Fair: Opening Day and Miss Lassen County Tonight!

It is once again time for the most anticipated week of summer, the Lassen County Fair!

The Fair begins bright and early at 8 am where the first Judging will start at in the Pardner Pavilion for Sheep, Goats, and Poultry.

Be sure to make your way through the buildings to view judging results from Junior and 4-H Baked Goods, Agriculture, Florence, and Grandma’s Cookies.

After a fun-filled morning of livestock shows, residents of Lassen County will gather at Jensen Hall for the official Ribbon cutting ceremony which will commence at 11 o’clock to officially open the fair grounds Exhibit Building and The Paul Maurer Show’s Carnival.

At noon rotary will be holding their annual luncheon on the Grand Stand lawn in celebration of the fair opening. After this activities for Special People will begin at 1 pm at the Lassen Transfer and Storage Stage.

Throughout the Week you can be entertained by Circus Imagination, Skip Banks the Balloon Man, and the Busy Bee Dog Show. Be on the look out for Snuffy and Flo, the Magical Clowns, Strolling through the park. Evening entertainment includes the performances from House of Dance and the Decade Band playing at the Lassen Transfer and Storage Stage.

To top off the thrilling first day, you can end it at the Miss Lassen County Pageant where young women From Lassen County compete for a chance to represent Lassen County and be crowned the next Miss Lassen County! The show starts at 8:00 pm and tickets can be purchased online at www.lassencountyfair.org.
