The Lassen Library is inviting the Susanville community to take advantage of an exciting lineup of free educational programs and classes this season. Whether you are looking to build professional skills, continue your education or simply find a new way to connect with your neighbors, the library is ready to support you every step of the way!
This spring’s schedule offers a diverse range of subjects designed to meet the needs of our local community. Starting in mid-April, the library will host English as a Second Language sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4:30 to 6:00. For those working toward their Citizenship, classes are held on Tuesday mornings starting at 11:30, while GED Prep sessions take place every Thursday from 12:00p.m. to 1:30p.m.
If you are looking to sharpen your technical edge, the library’s Computer Classes are held on select Saturdays from 12:30 to 2:00p.m. The April 11th session will cover the Microsoft Suite, followed by a session on Google Suite, May 9th, concluding with a special deep dive into Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT on June 13th.
For the avid readers among us, the Adult Book Club is already underway and will run through June 22nd, providing a fantastic space for literary discussion.
All classes are held at the Lassen Library located at 1618 Main St. in Susanville. The library staff encourages residents to come in today to sign up and secure a spot. You can also learn more or register by calling 1.530.249.8690 or 1.530.251.8127, or by sending a text to 1.775.391.8520.
