The Susanville Police Department is crediting observant employees at the Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel for alerting the department to suspicious circumstances at the establishment which led to the arrest of a 33-year old Vallejo man who allegedly provided drugs and solicited three underage girls for sexual acts on April 2nd.

According to Susanville Police Chief Kevin Jones, officers were called to the Diamond Mountain Casino Tuesday after employees reported suspicious circumstances involving young females at their property.

“Officers arrived and discovered a man in his 30’s had checked into a hotel room at the property shortly before their arrival,” explained Chief Jones. “Diamond Mountain staff also noticed three young females shortly follow the man to a hotel room after he checked in.”

Based on suspicious circumstances, security immediately notified the Police Department.

The man, identified by police as Vallejo resident Bradford Jensen, was found in a hotel room with three 16 year-old females. He was arrested on site for an outstanding warrant and booked into the Lassen County Jail.

“As the investigation continued, it was discovered that Bradford picked the three female juveniles on Main Street in Susanville earlier in the day, by soliciting them with alcohol and drugs. He later took them to hotel and attempted to conceal their association of being with him, as he rented a room at the Casino Hotel. Once there, he provided the females drugs and solicited them for sexual acts.”

According to Jones, Jensen was booked at the Lassen County Jail on 3 counts of Communicating with a Minor to Commit Sexual Acts, 3 counts of Annoying/Molesting a Minor and 3 counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. He is being held on $30,000 bail.

“If it were not for the attentiveness of the staff at the Diamond Mountain Casino, we would not have known about this event. Luckily their staff is constantly trained to recognize suspicious activity as this and report it. We thank the entire staff at the Casino and SIR for their ongoing support and collaborative partnerships.”
