Nearly a year after Susan River floodwaters destroyed the Pat Murphy Little League complex on River Street, league organizers are dealing with disaster of a different sort caused by vandals who broke into the clubhouse and snack bar sometime between February 2nd and 4th.
According to a league spokesperson the vandals broke windows and destroyed everything inside, including refrigerators, cabinets, trophies, umpire gear and tools.
The Susanville Police Department is investigating this incident and Acting Chief of Police Kelley Merritt is asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Susanville Police Department at (530) 257-5603.
