The aroma of sizzling sausage and fresh coffee will once again fill the air across from Lassen High School this Saturday morning as the William Davidson VFW Post 2381 hosts its popular monthly breakfast fundraiser.
This Saturday, April 11th, the local VFW invites the Susanville community to head down to the basement of the Veterans Memorial Building for a hearty meal served from 8:00 to 11:00. The event has become a staple for local families looking for a traditional, home-cooked start to their weekend.
The Post’s kitchen crew has a full spread planned, featuring all the breakfast classics: fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and crispy hash-browns. For those looking for a true military-style staple, the menu also includes their signature “SOS”—savory country sausage gravy served over toast.
At just $10 per person, the breakfast remains one of the best deals in town, especially for families. In a long-standing tradition of community support, the VFW ensures that children under 10 eat for free.
While the breakfast is a great way to grab a meal, it also serves as an important fundraiser for the Post, helping them continue their mission of supporting local veterans and community programs. The event is fully open to the public, and neighbors are encouraged to drop by, grab a plate, and catch up with friends.
