Honey Lake Hospice held their annual Memorial Ceremony and Tree Lighting in the Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church on South Lassen Street Saturday evening. The ceremony offers a special opportunity to honor the memory of loved ones by having their names inscribed on a dove and placed on the Hospice Memorial Tree in front of the church.
The Memorial Ceremony began with a welcome from Andria Cuypers and Claudia Dunlavy.
Debra Sokol performed a touching rendition of the song I Will Light a Candle.
Kathy Barker read the names from the Angel Tree while Dennis Roberts and the United Methodist Church Hand Bell Choir performed the Tolling of the Bells.
The illuminated tree will shine brightly each night through the first day of the new year.
