Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to come out and spend a morning planting willow trees to help restore the Paiute Meadows watershed, benefiting the surrounding community and helping protect the area against wildfire. A coalition of local, state and national groups is calling on volunteers to join in Sunday, October 13th from 8:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. at Susanville Ranch Park.
Following the event, volunteers will enjoy free tacos, refreshments and keepsakes.
The restoration is a great way to build community, get hands-on with restoration science, and learn fire-resilient restoration principles.
