A brand new Disc Golf Course is being set up at Skyline Park and volunteers are needed this Friday, August 23rd, for a day-long work party to make the course a reality.
Volunteers will be digging new holes and cleaning up the course along with mixing and setting concrete. There will be some heavy lifting work as well.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in the community and gain some community service hours. Everyone is welcome to come be a part of building the course.
Organizers suggest that you wear hot-weather clothes that you can get dirty in and ask that you bring any tools like shovels or wheelbarrows that might be useful.
They also remind volunteers to bring water.
Set-up day begins at 8:00a.m. in the main parking lot area at Skyline Park and will continue until 5:00 or 6:00p.m. Volunteers are welcome to show up at any time during the day.
