The police department has arrested one Susanville man, and identified a second wanted suspect, in connection with the armed robbery of a Main Street gas station early Thanksgiving morning.
On Saturday, November 24th, the department’s investigation led to the arrest of 18 year-old Paul Carter Bauer for several felonies including robbery, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Susanville Police Chief Tom Downing, Bauer was unarmed when located, and he was arrested without incident.
Bauer was later booked into the Lassen County Jail on the felony charges and is being held on $43,000 bail.
The second suspect, still at large and wanted by the department, is identified as 27 year-old Susanville resident Patrick Donald McKee.
“An exhaustive search by law enforcement for McKee’s whereabouts has been unfruitful at this time,” said Chief Downing.
McKee is described as a white male adult, 5 foot, 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. According to reports McKee currently has a shaved head and is ‘noticeably thinner’ than in the department’s photo.
An arrest warrant for McKee has been issued out of the Lassen Superior Court in the amount of $100,000 for the charges of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Chief Downing said that McKee should be considered armed and dangerous.
