Weather Bulletin: Another Night of Freezing Fog and Hazardous Driving in the Valley

Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Freezing Fog Advisory, warning that parts of the Honey Lake Valley and Lassen County, along with eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties, will see visibilities drop below one-quarter of a mile tonight.

The fog is expected to burn off late Saturday morning.

Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. Some roadways may also be icy and slippery during the early morning hours Saturday.

Last night multiple accidents were caused by the fog and slick area roads.

Localized areas of freezing fog may still persist through Saturday evening.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
