Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Freezing Fog Advisory, warning Honey Lake Valley residents to expect another night of freezing fog, with visibility of one quarter mile or less between 8:00 tonight and 11:00a.m. Wednesday.
Freezing fog will also be possible in eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties. In Nevada, northern Washoe County, western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake, and Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area.
Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous, especially along Highway 447 from Pyramid Lake to Gerlach, Highway 395 through the Honey Lake Valley from the CA-NV state line to Susanville, Highways 36 and 44 around Susanville, and I-80 near Fernley.
Roads may also be slick.
Areas of freezing fog may expand into parts of the Reno-Sparks vicinity and from Pyramid Lake southward to Fernley by early Tuesday morning, with the highest potential for fog in these areas between 4:00 and 10:00a.m.
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
